Bret with his 17+ years of DJ experience, his ultimate party playlist, pre-party consultation and tailor-made playlist, Pioneer professional DJ decks, one powered speaker (good enough for a large private room / one outdoor space, additional speaker hire charged separately)
WHAT TO EXPECT
Bret will talk to you before the party about your favourite music and any specific songs you’d like. You might even have already sent him a Spotify playlist of music you want him to play.
He will then arrive at the location around 60 minutes before the start time to plug in and setup. Greet your guests, pour a drink and get ready to party!
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DOES BRET PLAY?
Bret plays a selection of dance music, house and old school r’n’b depending on your preference. He has mixes that he can share with you that will give you a very good idea. If there’s specific songs you absolutely must have though, make sure to ask before the party - he can’t download new songs while he’s performing!
CAN HE PLAY A SPOTIFY PLAYLIST?
‘Yes’ and ‘No’. If it matches his regular music by all means you can send a link in the time leading up to the party when you’re planning your music with him, but Spotify doesn’t allow professional DJ apps to integrate apart from Tidal which has proven to be unreliable and causes frequent system crashes. Everything needs to be downloaded and in place in the days before the party.
CAN BRET PLAY MUSIC FROM A SMARTPHONE?
Bret won’t risk playing music from a phone - there’s many practical and professional reasons for this. Make sure he knows what songs you like beforehand, relax and let him do his thing!
